CASTLETON, NY — A Troy man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle and fraudulent credit card transactions.
Robert B. Main, 37, of Troy, was arrested Nov. 12 following an investigation by the Schodack Police Department.
Police responded to a residence on Seaman Avenue at about 8:30 a.m. Sept. 21 for a report of a stolen vehicle.
The complainant told police their Honda Accord had been stolen overnight from in front of their residence.
Through investigation, police determined the vehicle was being operated in Cohoes and Troy.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in a remote location in Troy.
Police determined Main had made several fraudulent transactions using the vehicle owner’s credit cards in various locations.
Main was arraigned at Schodack Town Court and remanded to the custody of the sheriff on bail.
He was charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, both class E felonies, one for credit card theft and one for motor vehicle theft.
