HARPERSFIELD, NY — Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three people following a traffic stop and narcotics investigation on Nov. 4.
Deputies on patrol observed a woman known to them as not having a valid driver’s license operating a motor vehicle in the town of Harpersfield, according to Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was confirmed to be Deanna Eignor, 24, of Hobart.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Schoen Stocks, 26, of Jefferson, was found to be wanted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated felony charges.
Further investigation at the scene revealed a quantity of fentanyl, scales and packaging materials located within the vehicle.
Eignor was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and aggravated unlicensed operation in the 2nd degree, all misdemeanors.
She was additionally issued traffic summonses for following too close, no seat belt and unlicensed operator.
While being processed, deputies found that Eignor was actively released on her own recognizance by Delaware County Supreme Court on unrelated charges and was in violation of a court order, resulting in an additional charge of criminal contempt in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Stocks was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
He was additionally issued a traffic summons for facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation.
While deputies were conducting their investigation, a family member arrived on scene to determine what was occurring.
Deputies discovered that his driving privileges were also suspended, resulting in the arrest of Wesley Eignor, 28, of Hobart, on one count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree.
Wesley Eignor was additionally issued a traffic summons for unlicensed operation.
He was released on an appearance ticket from the scene to a third party.
Deputies transported Deanna Eignor and Stocks to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office for arrest processing.
Stocks was released on appearance tickets to a third party.
Deanna Eignor was turned over to Centralized Arraignment Court where she was held on $5,000 cash bail.
