BOSTON, MA — A Boston man faces multiple drug charges after police observed him conducting what appeared to be several hand-to-hand drug transactions Tuesday evening in Roxbury.

A sergeant conducting surveillance in response to ongoing quality-of-life concerns observed Allen meeting with multiple individuals near a store at 2371 Washington Street.

After the first observed exchange, officers stopped a female suspect and recovered a small plastic bag of crack cocaine.

She was advised she would be summonsed for possession of a Class B substance.

Following a second observed exchange approximately ten minutes later, officers stopped a third individual and recovered another small bag of crack cocaine.

That person was also advised they would be summonsed for possession of a Class B substance.

Officers then arrested Allen.

A search revealed 36 individually wrapped plastic bags of crack cocaine in his possession.

Allen is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on two counts of distribution of Class B and possession of Class B with intent to distribute.
