Police seek help locating missing teen in Newark

NEWARK, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 15-year-old girl.

Brianna James, of Newark, was reported missing on Friday, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr.

She was last seen in the area of Maple Avenue near Grumman Avenue.

James is described as African American, 5’9″ tall, and weighing 150 pounds.

Her clothing description is unknown.

Her mental and physical well-being are reported to be good.

She has run away twice in the past, and both incidents went unreported.

Director Miranda urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of James to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
