FAIR HAVEN, VT — Police arrested a man following a months-long investigation into noise complaints in a residential neighborhood.

Nathan Z. Eagan, 43, of Fair Haven, was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with aggravated disorderly conduct and noise in the nighttime.

Fair Haven Police said they have responded to multiple calls to Third Street over recent months for noise complaints occurring around 9:45 p.m.

Police said Eagan allegedly yelled, chanted, banged wind chimes and blasted an air horn on various nights, causing a disturbance in the neighborhood.

Officers attempted to mediate the issue but the complaints continued, police said.

Interviews with neighbors revealed the noise allegedly caused them annoyance and alarm, according to police.

Eagan was released on a citation to appear in Rutland District Court at a later date.
