LIMA, NY — Three people face felony charges following a two-month investigation into a string of burglaries to storage units and residences throughout Livingston County.
Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office began receiving calls on Sept. 11 about the burglaries.
Sheriff’s investigators developed three suspects identified as Samuel Mitchell, 32, of Lima, Jennifer Dean, 38, of Lima, and Dominick Wood, 22, of Lima.
Mitchell was arrested on Nov. 4 and charged with criminal possession of stolen property third degree, criminal possession of a weapon third degree and criminal possession of a firearm.
Mitchell was charged on Nov. 5 with burglary second degree, petit larceny, two counts of burglary third degree, two counts of grand larceny fourth degree and two counts of criminal mischief fourth degree.
Wood was charged on Nov. 4 with burglary second degree and petit larceny.
Dean was charged on Nov. 6 with criminal possession of stolen property third degree, criminal possession of a weapon third degree and criminal possession of a firearm.
All three were transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Mitchell, Wood and Dean were arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Caledonia Justice Riggi.
Mitchell was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on no bail due to prior felony convictions and currently being on parole.
Wood was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
Dean was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $2,500 cash bail.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Mitchell, Wood and Dean at the arraignment.
