DANBURY, CT — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene on Main Street.
Danbury police responded to the crash near Patch Street at 5 p.m. on Nov. 9.
Officers found the injured pedestrian lying on the side of the roadway.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police determined one vehicle was involved in the crash and left before officers arrived.
The suspect vehicle is described as a light-colored sedan with front-end damage.
It was last seen traveling north on Main Street before turning right onto North Street.
Main Street was closed for several hours while the Danbury Police Accident Investigation Team conducted their investigation.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or has information to contact Sgt. Wakeman or Officer Wolen at 203-797-2157.
