Man dies in e-scooter crash in Hampton

HAMPTON, NH — Police are investigating a fatal e-scooter crash that occurred early Saturday morning.

The Hampton Police Department received a 911 call at approximately 12:54 a.m. reporting a person down on the ground in the area of Ashworth Avenue and G Street.

Responding officers found an unconscious male who was not breathing and appeared to have been involved in an accident with his e-scooter.

Hampton Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, and the man was declared deceased.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Police are asking residents to check home security cameras in the area for any footage from around the time of the incident.
