PLATTSBURGH, NY — A 55-year-old man faces multiple charges related to child sexual abuse material following an investigation by state and federal authorities.
Kyle K. Kasper, of Plattsburgh, was arrested Nov. 6 by the New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit, in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations and the Plattsburgh City Police Department.
Kasper was charged with three counts of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, three counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
He was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted jointly by the New York State Police, Homeland Security Investigations and the Plattsburgh City Police Department.
