MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A bicyclist was killed after falling off his bicycle and being struck by two vehicles Thursday night.
The crash occurred at approximately 9 p.m. at the intersection of N. Black Horse Pike and Berlin-Cross Keys Road.
A 39-year-old man from Glassboro was attempting to cross the Black Horse Pike on a bicycle from the eastbound side when he fell off his bicycle within the southbound travel lane.
A 2002 Chrysler minivan operated by a Williamstown man traveling southbound on N. Black Horse Pike immediately struck the bicyclist as he was still laying in the travel lane.
A 2023 Honda CRV, also operated by a Williamstown man, was traveling behind the Chrysler and then struck the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both vehicles remained on scene and no charges are pending at this time.
The collision is being investigated by Ptl. Dacoda Leech of the Monroe Township Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau.
