GREECE, NY — Two Rochester residents were arrested in connection with a burglary at a pawn shop on Mt. Read Boulevard.
Greece Police officers responded to Rochester Jewelry and Tek Pawn Shop at 3670 Mt. Read Blvd. on Nov. 6 for a reported burglary in progress.
Officers determined the suspects had fled the area with stolen property from the business.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division developed information that led to the identification and location of the suspect vehicle in the city of Rochester.
Working with the Operational Support Unit, detectives located the suspects and the vehicle at a residence on Spencer Street in Rochester.
Officers detained the suspects, and detectives executed a search warrant at the residence, where stolen property linked to the burglary was recovered.
Detectives also recovered a small quantity of crack cocaine from one suspect at the time of arrest.
Additional search warrants for three vehicles involved are pending.
Charles Akers, 51, of Rochester, was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree grand larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Marion Bresko, 47, of Rochester, was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree grand larceny.
Akers and Bresko were booked at Greece Police Headquarters and transported to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment in CAP Court.
