Man pleads guilty to drug charge in Albany, NY

ALBANY, NY — A man pleaded guilty to a reduced drug charge after narcotics were discovered on his person while he was receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

Zachary Bailey was charged Nov. 6 with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

During a continued investigation, it was determined Bailey allegedly had concealed felony weight narcotics on his person which were discovered while receiving medical treatment at the hospital.

Bailey was produced from the Fulton County Correctional Facility and transported to State Police Latham for processing.

He was then arraigned at Albany City Court where Bailey pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree with a proposed sentence of one year incarceration.

Bailey was then returned to the custody of Fulton County Correctional Facility.
