SHARON, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a Royalton man Thursday on charges of aggravated sexual assault and aggravated assault.
Derrik Wright, 45, of Royalton, was taken into custody following an investigation into a sexual assault at a residence in Sharon.
State Police in Royalton received the report at 4:11 p.m. on Nov. 6.
Investigation revealed that Wright sexually assaulted and caused physical pain to an individual, according to police.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks located Wright on Main Street in Bethel and arrested him.
Wright was cited to appear in Windsor County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m.
He was held without bail pending arraignment.
