Domestic assault arrest in Orwell

ORWELL, VT — A man was arrested on domestic assault charges after an incident on Church Street on Nov. 2.

Vermont State Police received a report of a domestic assault at approximately 3:36 p.m.

Through investigation, troopers determined that Raymond W. Hanson, 36, of Orwell, caused physical pain to a household member.

The incident occurred in the presence of a child, according to police.

Hanson was later located at a family member’s residence and arrested without incident.

He was processed at the New Haven State Police Barracks.

At the request of the Addison County State Attorney’s office, Hanson was released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Nov. 3.
