Vehicle entered, rummaged through in Nahant

NAHANT, MA — Police are investigating after a vehicle was entered and rummaged through on Maolis Road early Tuesday.

A resident reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle, according to the Nahant Police Department.

Nothing of value was taken from the vehicle.

Security footage shows the incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m.

The suspect may have been female, but police said they are still uncertain at this time.

The suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and face mask.

Police are asking residents living on the north side to check their vehicles and security cameras if they have one.

The department is encouraging all residents to make sure their vehicles and houses are locked, even when they are home.

Police also encourage residents to report any suspicious activity.
