MONTVILLE, CT — A man was arrested on speeding and reckless driving charges after police clocked him traveling 105 mph through two school zones.

An officer conducting speed enforcement was traveling southbound on Route 32 near Saint Bernard’s High School at approximately 7 a.m. on Nov. 3 when he observed a gray BMW sedan traveling northbound at a much higher speed than other traffic.

Using mounted radar, the officer measured the BMW traveling at 105 mph.

The officer notified another officer who was positioned about a mile north about the vehicle.

The second officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near Chili’s restaurant.

Cameron Riviera, 22, of Montville, was taken into custody and processed.

He was charged with speeding in a school zone, reckless driving with speeds greater than 100 mph, and failure to renew registration.

Riviera was released on a $2,900 cash/surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m.
