NASHUA, NH — A Nashua woman was seriously injured in a crash involving a box truck on the F.E. Everett Turnpike.
At 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, State Police dispatch received a report of a crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike northbound at mile marker 7.4, by Exit 8, in Nashua.
State Troopers assigned to the Troop B barracks responded and located the two vehicles, identified as a 2020 International box truck, driven by Jeramy Desrosiers, 38, of Greenville, and a 2013 Dodge Avenger, driven by Whitney Barney, 33, of Nashua.
The preliminary investigation determined that traffic had slowed and the box truck was struck from behind by the Dodge.
Barney suffered serious injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to a Massachusetts hospital for treatment.
Her juvenile passenger was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Desrosiers was not injured.
Troopers were assisted on scene by members of Nashua Fire Rescue and the NH Department of Transportation.
Traffic on the F.E. Everett Turnpike was impacted for several hours during the investigation.
All aspects of the crash remain under investigation.
