Woman arrested on obstruction charge in Lincoln

LINCOLN, RI — A woman turned herself in to state police on an obstruction charge Nov. 3.

Monica Dacosta, 34, of East Providence, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. at the Lincoln Woods Barracks for obstruction of a police officer in execution of duty.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation.

Dacosta was processed and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.

Woman arrested after hit-and-run crash in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — A woman was arrested following a hit-and-run crash on Route 146 Nov. 3.

Yvonne Telles, 40, of Woonsocket, was arrested at 4 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction of a police officer in execution of duty, resisting legal arrest, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in damage to attended vehicles, simple assault and/or battery, and vandalism.

The arrest stemmed from a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Route 146.

Telles was transported to the Scituate Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by the justice of the peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.

New York man arrested as fugitive in Lincoln

LINCOLN, RI — A New York man wanted on a forgery charge was arrested Nov. 3.

Paul Keenan, 55, of Bronx, New York, was arrested at 5 p.m. as a fugitive from justice on the original charge of forgery, originating out of the Sanford Maine Police Department.

Troopers took custody of Keenan at the Wyatt Detention Facility.

Keenan was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held pending morning arraignment at Sixth Division District Court.

Man arrested on suspended license charge in Lincoln

LINCOLN, RI — A man was arrested on a suspended license charge Nov. 3.

Nicholas Morin, 36, of East Providence, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. for driving with suspended, revoked, cancelled license for certain violations.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Morin being apprehended by East Providence Police Department.

Morin was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the justice of the peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.

Man arrested on drug charges in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, RI — A man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop Nov. 4.

Tony Lopes, 40, of Pawtucket, was arrested at 12:18 p.m. for possession of a Schedule I to V substance (cocaine) under 10 grams and possession of a Schedule I to V substance (Adderall) under 10 grams.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pine Street.

Lopes was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending morning arraignment/presentment as a bail violator at Sixth Division District Court.
