Man arrested for brother’s murder in Camden

CAMDEN, NJ — A Camden man has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of his brother on Saturday, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Anarkis Delgado, 28, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Raymond Delgado of Camden.

He is also charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree certain persons not to possess firearms.

On Saturday, Nov. 1, at approximately 11:09 a.m., officers from the Camden County Police Department responded to the 500 block of Pearl Street in reference to a person shot.

Upon arrival, officers located a gunshot victim – identified as Raymond Delgado – on the sidewalk.

The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 12:31 p.m.

During the investigation, detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and Camden County Police Department determined Anarkis Delgado was the individual responsible for shooting the victim.

Anarkis Delgado later surrendered himself at the Camden County Police Department and was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
