Woman sought in shoplifting incident in Waterford

WATERFORD, CT — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman accused of stealing merchandise from Walmart on Nov. 1.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:25 p.m. when the woman took $257.48 worth of merchandise without paying, according to the Waterford Police Department.

Walmart staff initially stopped the woman, but she became uncooperative and fled the store toward Parkway North.

A silver Honda CRV with Connecticut registration 602YAM picked up the woman down the road from the store.

Police said they are investigating the vehicle involved but noted that car owners or drivers are often unwilling to cooperate with investigations.
