WICKFORD, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested two people in separate incidents on Jan. 9.
At 9:18 a.m., troopers arrested Edualdo D. Viruet, 26, of Providence, for license or permit required for carrying a pistol or revolver and large capacity feeding device, two counts.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in East Greenwich.
Viruet was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by the justice of the peace and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
At 11:42 a.m., troopers arrested Yazmin Rivera, 49, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, on an affidavit and arrest warrant originating from the North Providence Police Department.
Rivera was charged with domestic violence violation of no contact order, first offense; domestic simple assault, first offense; and domestic disorderly conduct, first offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.
Rivera was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where she was processed and transported to the North Providence Police Department.
