Man shot in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ — A 19-year-old man from Passaic was treated for non-fatal gunshot wounds early Saturday morning following a shooting in Paterson.

Members of the Paterson Police Department responded to Hackensack University Medical Center at approximately 4:20 a.m. on a report that the victim arrived at the hospital via private vehicle seeking treatment.

The initial investigation determined the shooting took place in the area of Third Avenue and East 26th Street in Paterson.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announced the incident.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
