Woman arrested on warrant in Lincoln

LINCOLN, RI — A Providence woman was arrested early Tuesday on an outstanding bench warrant following a traffic stop.

Soleil Rodriguez, 32, of Providence, was taken into custody at 1:45 a.m. on Route 99, according to Rhode Island State Police.

Rodriguez was wanted on a Third District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original charge of driving with a suspended license.

The warrant originated from the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks.

Trooper Moretti conducted the motor vehicle stop that led to the arrest.

Rodriguez was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

She was released with a future Third District Court date.
