CANDIA, NH — A Manchester woman was arrested on multiple charges after going the wrong way on Route 101.
At 3:22 a.m. Saturday, State Police dispatch started receiving reports of a wrong-way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes on Route 101 in Raymond.
Troopers assigned to the Troop A and the Troop B barracks responded and located the vehicle, a silver 2009 Honda Civic, traveling westbound in the eastbound high-speed lane in Candia.
Troopers safely stopped the vehicle in the area of mile marker 64.6.
The driver of the Civic was identified as Savannah Leigh McClaughry-Bertelsen, 18, of Manchester.
McClaughry-Bertelsen was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, aggravated DUI, DUI, reckless operation, open container of alcohol, and transportation of alcoholic beverages by a minor.
She was held in protective custody at the Rockingham County Jail and later released on personal recognizance bail.
McClaughry-Bertelson is scheduled to be arraigned in Candia District Court on Monday, Nov. 17.
Route 101 eastbound was closed briefly during the course of the investigation.
