MIDDLETOWN, NY — A two-vehicle crash on State Highway 28 just north of the intersection with County Highway 6 left one person dead on Oct. 28.
Troopers responded to the scene just before 3 p.m.
An investigation determined that a 2022 Ford Edge was traveling north on State Highway 28 when it crossed into oncoming traffic for an unknown reason.
The Ford Edge collided with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado.
The operator of the Ford Edge, Natasha Reed, 36, of Delhi, was pronounced dead at Margaretville Hospital.
The operator of the Chevrolet Silverado, Ernest K. Bilzer, 57, of Fleischmanns, was transported to O’Connor Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
