PATERSON, NJ — A 31-year-old man was shot early Friday morning in the area of Summer Street and 21st Avenue, authorities said.
Members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area at approximately 4:15 a.m. on a report of a shooting, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray.
Police located the victim, of Paterson, suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The victim was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
