WALTON, NY — A 60-year-old man was arrested on a harassment charge following an incident at a convenience store in July.
Kenneth Hansen, of Walton, was arrested Tuesday and charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation of the New York State Penal Law, according to Delaware County Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
Deputies responded to a fight in progress at the Smokers Choice in the Village of Walton on July 14.
During the investigation, deputies interviewed several people, including a complainant who alleged that Hansen subjected him to unwanted physical contact.
Deputies forwarded documentation to Walton Village Court on Oct. 27 requesting a criminal summons in the matter.
Upon receipt of the criminal summons Tuesday, deputies located Hansen and arrested him.
Hansen is scheduled to appear in Village of Walton Court at a later date to answer the charge.
