NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested a Bristol man on a felony fraud charge Thursday evening.
Robert Muggle, 43, of Bristol, was taken into custody at 7:22 p.m. on an affidavit and arrest warrant issued by the State Police Major Crimes Unit.
Muggle faces one count of obtaining money under false pretenses involving more than $10,000.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Major Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Portsmouth Police Department in locating Muggle.
He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks for processing.
Muggle was special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
In a separate incident Thursday, troopers arrested Peter J. Rinn, 43, of Cranston, at 11:06 p.m.
Rinn was charged with possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance.
