SWANTON, VT — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 northbound led to a DUI arrest last month.

On October 6 at approximately 11:37 p.m., the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks was advised of a crash near mile marker 120.

Upon arrival, troopers determined that the operator, Michael Plunkett, 36, of Fairfax, was impaired by alcohol.

Plunkett was transported to Northwestern Medical Center for medical treatment.

Plunkett’s blood alcohol content was later found to be over the legal limit to operate a motor vehicle.

On October 30, Plunkett was issued a citation for DUI.
