Man arrested on criminal tampering charges in Aurelius

AURELIUS, NY — A 19-year-old man turned himself in to authorities after allegedly throwing eggs at vehicles at a shopping center.

John M. Kreydatus, of Genoa, was arrested Oct. 30 and charged with two counts of criminal tampering in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

Deputies responded to 1579 Clark Street Road, the Finger Lakes Mall, at approximately 1:18 a.m. Oct. 12 for a report of a vehicle driving around the mall throwing eggs at cars.

An investigation determined that Kreydatus threw the eggs and left the scene, according to Sheriff Brian Schenck.

Kreydatus responded to the Public Safety Building on Oct. 30 to turn himself in.

He is scheduled to appear at Aurelius Town Court on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. for arraignment.
