BOSTON, MA — Boston police have arrested two men in connection with an October shooting that left a victim with life-altering injuries.
Shawn Walker, 24, of Boston, was arrested at about 3:21 p.m. on Oct. 29 in the area of 32 Seaver Street by officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force.
Walker was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court on charges of carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license (third offense), possession of ammunition without an FID card, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, firearm use in commission of a felony, discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a building, and firearm violation with three prior violent/drug crimes.
Walker is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury Court.
Devante Stinson, 23, of Boston, was arrested at about 10:01 a.m. on Oct. 23 in the area of 23 Levant Street in Dorchester by officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force.
Stinson was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, firearm use in commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
Stinson was arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
The arrests stem from an incident at about 4:09 p.m. on Oct. 8, when officers assigned to District B-2 responded to the area of 258 Dudley Street for a report of a person shot.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-altering injuries.
