Two arrested in drug raid in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT — Two men face multiple drug charges following a multi-agency raid that seized fentanyl, cocaine, crack and heroin from a Bronson Street residence.

Members of the Waterbury Police Department’s Gang Task Force, Vice and Intelligence Unit, and Auto Theft Task Force, along with the Connecticut State Police Violent Crimes Task Force, executed a search warrant at 19 Bronson Street on Oct. 23.

Police seized 32.4 grams of crack, 17.8 grams of cocaine, 10 bags of heroin, 259.9 grams of fentanyl, $661 in U.S. currency and firearm ammunition.

Luis Vizcaino, 52, of Waterbury, was charged with illegal operation of a drug factory, possession of narcotics 1 ounce or more of fentanyl, possession of narcotics one-half ounce or more of cocaine and two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Luis Martinez, 49, of Waterbury, was charged with illegal operation of a drug factory, criminal possession of a firearm or ammunition, possession of narcotics 1 ounce or more of fentanyl, possession of narcotics one-half ounce or more of cocaine and two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
