WOODMERE, NY — A man stole packages from a home on Eastwood Road on Saturday afternoon, according to Nassau County police.
The incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. when an unknown subject took packages that had been delivered to the residence and fled the scene.
The packages were part of an online shopping order the homeowner did not place.
On Thursday, a female victim received a confirmation email for an online shopping order using her Visa credit card, totaling over $300 in merchandise she did not order.
The unknown packages were delivered to the victim’s home on Saturday.
Police are investigating the incident as identity theft.
