HOPE VALLEY, RI — A North Providence man was arrested on fraud charges Wednesday morning at the Rhode Island State Police Hope Valley Barracks.
Troopers arrested Dukenson Merisier, 37, of North Providence, at 10:40 a.m. on an active affidavit and arrest warrant.
Merisier faces charges of obtaining property by false pretenses/personation over $10,000 and fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500.
The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation conducted by Trooper Nerney and the North Providence Police Department locating the subject.
Merisier was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed.
He was later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
