BOSTON, MA — Detectives recovered a high-capacity firearm, ammunition and a ballistic vest during a search warrant execution in connection with a shooting investigation in Roxbury.
Officers assigned to District B-2 executed a search warrant at 32 Seaver Street on Thursday, Oct. 30.
The search yielded a high-capacity Glock firearm with an extended magazine, two fully loaded magazines, loose ammunition and a ballistic vest.
Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Shawn Walker, 24, of Boston, in the area of 32 Seaver Street at about 3:21 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Walker was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court on charges of carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license third offense, possession of ammunition without an FID card, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, firearm use in commission of a felony, discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a building and firearm violation with three prior violent/drug crimes.
Walker is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury Court.
Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Devante Stinson, 23, of Boston, in the area of 23 Levant Street, Dorchester, at about 10:01 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23.
Stinson was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, firearm use in commission of a felony and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
Stinson was arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
Officers assigned to District B-2 responded to the area of 258 Dudley Street for a report of a person shot at about 4:09 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-altering injuries.
