Man arrested on grand larceny charge in Altona

ALTONA, NY — New York State Police arrested a Plattsburgh man on a grand larceny charge on Oct. 26.

Joe L. Maldonado, 41, of Plattsburgh, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

At approximately 3:01 p.m., troopers responded to Woods Falls Road in the town of Altona for a report of a larceny.

An investigation determined that Maldonado had been employed by Humble Homes Property Management Inc. and had been issued a company credit card for work purposes.

Further investigation revealed that Maldonado used the company credit card to make unauthorized purchases totaling $1,118.22.

Maldonado was arrested and transported to State Police Champlain for processing.

He was arraigned in the Town of Chazy Court and released on his own recognizance.
