Breaking and entering incidents reported in Somerville

SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville Police responded to multiple breaking and entering incidents over a one-week period in late October.

On Oct. 21 at approximately 12:19 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Lincoln Street for a report of a breaking and entering.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated someone broke into her residence and stole cash and jewelry.

On Oct. 23 at approximately 4:51 a.m., police responded to a business on Broadway for a report of a breaking and entering.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a male party smashed the window to his store and stole cigarettes.

On Oct. 25 at approximately 6:05 p.m., officers responded to a vacant residence on Elm Street for a breaking and entering.

Upon arrival, officers observed three individuals inside the residence sleeping.

All individuals were identified.

On Oct. 27 at approximately 5:51 p.m., police took a report regarding a past breaking and entering.

The victim stated someone broke into his basement and stole a bicycle.

On Oct. 24 at approximately 6:54 p.m., officers responded to a business in Davis Square for an assault.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who stated she got into an argument with a female customer.

During the argument, the female threw a bag of candy at her.

Police also reported 10 car breaks, two vandalisms, three bike thefts, two package thefts and three motor vehicle vandalisms during the period.
