GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department arrested an 18-year-old on a threatening charge following an incident at the Community Connections Program on Oct. 27.

Duglas Alcaide, of Greenwich, was charged with threatening in the second degree after making a verbal threat directed toward students and staff within the program.

Community Connections staff immediately followed district safety protocols by contacting mental health providers, school security, and the student’s family.

The Greenwich Police Department was promptly notified due to the nature of the statement.

In coordination with Greenwich Public Schools officials, police conducted a threat assessment and determined that the threat was not credible.
