Woman shot in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ — An 18-year-old woman was shot in the area of East 25th Street and 23rd Avenue on Oct. 26.

Members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area at approximately 9:44 p.m. on a report of a shooting, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray.

As police were arriving on scene, they learned that the victim from Paterson was transported via private vehicle to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
