Man arrested on DUI charge in Sheffield

SHEFFIELD, VT — A Sutton man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Berry Hill Road on Oct. 25.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the crash at approximately 6:02 p.m.

The operator was identified as Kristopher Anctil, 40, of Sutton.

During the investigation, troopers observed signs of alcohol impairment.

Anctil was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Caledonia County Criminal Court on Dec. 8 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to a charge of DUI, second offense.

Anctil was driving a 2012 Subaru Forester, which sustained moderate damage.

No injuries were reported.

Weather conditions were clear and the road surface was dirt.
