RUTLAND, VT — An inmate at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility has been cited for simple assault following an attack on another inmate.
Vermont Department of Corrections staff members reported the assault occurred in the Echo Unit at 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 11.
James Narcisse, 20, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was issued a citation on Oct. 24 by Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
The victim, Kevin Simmons, 27, of Bennington, sustained multiple facial fractures in the assault.
