PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island State Police made five arrests during a 17-hour period, with four occurring in Providence and one in North Providence.
At 10:21 a.m., troopers arrested Joel Gbadyu, 26, of Providence, on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on an original charge of domestic violence – disorderly conduct originating from the Central Falls Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on West Clifford Street.
Gbadyu was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions – Men’s Intake.
At 11:47 p.m., troopers arrested Ambiorix Ogando-Mota, 37, of Central Falls, on a Newport County Superior Court full bench warrant for violation of probation on a charge of manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to deliver originating from the Tiverton Police Department and a Superior Court full bench warrant for eluding law enforcement originating from the Portsmouth Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Atwells Avenue.
Ogando-Mota was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions – Men’s Intake Center.
At 2:14 a.m., troopers arrested Ramon Rodriguez, 37, of Pawtucket, for driving under the influence of liquor – BAC unknown – first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test – first offense in North Providence.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 146.
Rodriguez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released pending a future Third Division District Court date.
At 3:02 a.m., troopers arrested Jaden Canales, 18, of Woonsocket, on an affidavit arrest warrant for domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct originating from the Woonsocket Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North at Smithfield Avenue in Providence.
Canales was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Woonsocket Police Department.
At 3:51 a.m., troopers arrested Nayelis Rodriguez, 21, of Providence, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor – BAC unknown – first offense, refusal to submit to a chemical test – first offense, and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle.
The arrest resulted from troopers responding to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Route 95 in Providence.
Rodriguez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
