Man arrested on DUI charge in Pelham

PELHAM, NH — A Massachusetts man was arrested on a drunken driving charge after his vehicle crashed into an embankment Saturday night.

Police and fire personnel responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of 395 Mammoth Road at 10:19 p.m. Oct. 25.

Officers found a red GMC Sierra off the roadway and into an embankment.

Roger Tanguay, 67, of Lowell, Massachusetts, was identified as the driver.

Tanguay sustained no injuries.

Patrolman Glynn investigated the crash and determined the GMC Sierra was traveling southbound on Mammoth Road, crossed over the double yellow line, and crashed into an embankment off the roadway.

Tanguay was arrested for driving under the influence.

He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at Salem District Court on Nov. 3 at 8 a.m.
