DUNDEE, NY — A 67-year-old woman was arrested on trespass and petit larceny charges at a Dollar General store on Oct. 23.
Betsy Heffernan, of Dundee, was taken into custody at approximately 3:24 p.m. after deputies responded to a trespass complaint at the store in the Village of Dundee.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Heffernan had been formally trespassed from the location earlier this year.
An investigation revealed that Heffernan placed merchandise from the store into her purse without paying for the items.
Heffernan was released on tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Starkey Court at a later date.
