MARS HILL, ME — Maine State Police arrested a woman wanted for committing fraud at multiple banks in northern Maine.
Police said the woman committed fraud at several banks in the Bangor area before targeting a bank in Mars Hill on Tuesday.
Authorities released surveillance images of the suspect and requested public assistance in identifying her earlier in the day.
The woman was believed to be driving a silver or gray Jeep Cherokee, according to police.
State police announced the woman had been identified and apprehended Tuesday evening.
The woman’s identity was not immediately released.
