Woman arrested after vehicle vandalized with condiments in Utica

UTICA, NY — Police arrested a woman in connection with a vehicle vandalism incident that caused more than $7,000 in damage.

Officers were dispatched to the rear of 287 Genesee St. on Aug. 25 regarding a criminal mischief complaint.

An investigation revealed that someone had covered a vehicle in ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and eggs, and scratched a large portion of the vehicle with a sharp instrument.

The owner provided a receipt showing an estimate of more than $7,000 in damages.

The case was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division based on the amount of damage.

Police secured video evidence of the crime and identified a suspect through the investigation.

Chloe Sue Stacy, 21, of Whitesboro, was charged Oct. 20 with criminal mischief in the second degree.
