22 arrested in multi-agency warrant sweep in Putnam County

CARMEL, NY — Twenty-two people were arrested or surrendered following a multi-agency warrant sweep operation on the morning of Oct. 22.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office coordinated the operation with the Carmel Police Department, Kent Police Department, Village of Brewster Police Department and the New York State Police.

A total of 38 individuals with active warrants were identified prior to the operation.

Six people were arrested on felony-level charges.

Dana Reitano, 44, of Hawthorne, was arrested on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a Class C felony.

Yamahi Hogarth, 40, of New York City, was arrested on a charge of possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a Class D felony.

Maurice Knight, 20, of Brooklyn, was arrested on a charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a Class E felony.

Mario Diaz, 30, of the Bronx, was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E felony.

Tristan Williams, 27, of Carmel, was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E felony.

Genitan Shala, 24, of Yorktown, was arrested on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a Class E felony.

Fourteen people were arrested on misdemeanor-level charges.

Brittney Mancusi, 30, of Kent, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and bail jumping.

Mikyla Morgan, 23, of Beacon, was arrested on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

Vedette Lawler, 43, of Patterson, was arrested on charges of criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and bail jumping.

Michael Torres, 47, of Cortlandt Manor, was arrested on a charge of criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

Christopher Hammonds, 44, of Carmel, was arrested on charges of criminal contempt in the second degree and resisting arrest, both Class A misdemeanors.

Marcus Meyer, 53, of Brewster, was arrested on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, and bail jumping.

Jorge Chutabalan, 23, of Brewster, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Nathaniel Mac Elhinney, 43, of Carmel, was arrested on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and bail jumping.

Michele Montague, 62, of Cold Spring, was arrested on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and bail jumping.

Randyn Dickens, 41, of Brewster, was arrested on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and bail jumping.

Eric Bermeo, 25, of Yorktown Heights, was arrested on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Steven Freed, 36, of Peekskill, was arrested on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Peter J. Andolina, 31, of Beacon, was arrested on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Sean Gannon, 35, of North Salem, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and bail jumping.

One individual with an active warrant is currently incarcerated in New Jersey.

One individual has been confirmed deceased.

Two additional individuals have made arrangements to surrender themselves at a later date.
