Police seek public’s help after dog killed by vehicle in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, NH — Police are investigating after a white pickup truck struck and killed a dog on Washburn Road this afternoon.

The incident occurred at about 1 p.m. in the area of Town Well Road.

Police said the pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the dog and continued driving without stopping.

The driver left skid marks from braking at the scene, indicating awareness of the collision, according to police.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a white pickup truck driving fast in that area at about 1 p.m. to contact the Alexandria Police Department.
