Driver arrested after crash in Pelham

PELHAM, NH — A single-vehicle crash led to the arrest of two people on Oct. 23.

Pelham Police and fire department responded to the crash at 11:01 p.m. in the area of 2 Island Pond Road.

Officers found a black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck off the roadway and into a rock wall.

Haylee Morasse, 25, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was identified as the driver of the vehicle.

Christian Leon, 26, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was in the front right passenger seat.

Both sustained minor injuries.

Patrolman McQuaide investigated the crash and determined the Dodge Ram was traveling west on Dutton Road and took a left onto Island Pond Road.

While turning, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go off the road and hit a rock wall.

Morasse was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence, criminal mischief and open container.

Leon had active warrants from the Hampton Police Department for three counts of simple assault and criminal mischief.

Morasse was released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned at the Salem District Court on Nov. 3 at 8 a.m.

Leon was released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned at the Hampton District Court on Dec. 2 at 8 a.m.
