SOUTH HADLEY, MA — A cyclist was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle on Oct. 21.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Lyman Street near Bunker Hill.
Both the motorist and cyclist were traveling southeast on Lyman Street at the time of the crash.
Witnesses reported no apparent improper operation by the vehicle’s driver.
Environmental factors may have contributed to the accident, according to police.
Man arrested on warrant in South Hadley

SOUTH HADLEY, MA — A Chicopee man wanted on a larceny warrant was arrested Oct. 22 at the Big Y redemption center on Route 33.
Officer Chonmany spotted the man while on patrol at approximately 4:40 p.m.
The officer knew the man had an active arrest warrant from South Hadley Police stemming from an earlier larceny involving a juvenile’s bicycle.
The man was also wanted on two warrants from Chicopee Police.
Suspected methamphetamine seized in South Hadley

SOUTH HADLEY, MA — Police seized a suspicious package believed to contain methamphetamine on Oct. 24.
Officers responded to a local business after a suspicious package was delivered by mail.
Officer Whelihan inspected the package and determined it likely contained methamphetamine.
The matter has been referred to the Postal Inspector.
